摘要: In the past decade alone, portion of US population aged 65 and over has grown to 40 million people, representing a 15.1 % increase from 2000 2010, comprising 13 total population. contrast, portions under age 18 18–45 increased by only 2.6 0.6 %, respectively. Given that half all surgical procedures are performed in patients years or older, healthcare providers involved perioperative treatment must be familiar with issues concerns particular geriatric patients.
