摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses overall concepts of quantitative microdialysis, including some difficulties application. The major factors that may influence the proper use microdialysis probe include: (1) microdialysate concentrations obtained in vitro depend strongly on microvascular transport and metabolism extracellular space surrounding probe, as well diffusion; (2) probes establish concentration gradients about themselves be sufficient extent to engage mass transfer with anatomical regions are outside desired sampling or infusion volume; (3) vivo application, permeability common dialysis membranes used current usually plays only a minor role because most resistance flow into out arises from tissue not membrane; (4) estimates data by analyses spatially averaged quantities.
