摘要: Abstract Objective Alumina toughened zirconia (ATZ) is more fracture resistant than unmodified and has been shown to be a viable substrate for the growth of osteoblasts. In this study, we examined histological biomechanical behavior moderately roughened ATZ implants in rat femoral bone. Methods Miniature made with pore-building polymers sintered onto surface electrochemically anodized titanium (TiUnite ® ) were placed into femurs Sprague-Dawley rats. Implant topography was analyzed by 3D laserscan measurements scanning electron microscopy (SEM). After healing period 14 28 days, respectively, histologic testing performed. Results Under SEM, TiUnite could clearly distinguished from surface, but indicated rough both, ( S  = 1.31 μm)  = 1.51 μm). The mean mineralized bone-to-implant contact showed highest values after days (58%/75%) as compared (24%/41%). push-in increased 20 N 39 N 10 N 25 N ATZ. Significance Our findings suggest that implant well accepted bone tissue. However, titanium, osseointegration-process seems proceed slowly early phase integration.
