摘要: Objective To evaluate the relationship between uterine size and a possible increase in operative morbidity procedure failure rates women undergoing total vaginal hysterectomy. Methods A retrospective chart analysis of all hysterectomies performed for histologically confirmed leiomyomata was completed. 128 cases qualified. Patients were stratified into three groups: group I, patients hysterectomy with weight 300 g or greater but less than 1000 g; II, 100–299 III, abdominal 100–1000 g. The variables evaluated included following: length hospital stay, time, estimated blood loss, complications. Data regarding failed requiring an approach also obtained. Results Both groups had significantly reduced stay compared group. There no significant difference mean loss I III. Similarly, there differences complication among groups. Group 84% (31 37) success rate versus 95% (40 42) II (not statistically significant). weight, unsuccessful successful hysterectomies. higher Conclusion Uterine alone is not absolute contraindication to Large (greater g) related Conversely, size-dependent. Furthermore, additional when converted because technical inability complete surgery vaginally.
