摘要: Single crystals of Sm3+ doped cerium oxalate decahydrate were synthesized using single diffusion gel technique and the conditions influencing size, morphology, nucleation density quality optimized. Highly transparent average size 3 mm × 2 1 with well-defined hexagonal morphology grown during a time period two weeks. X-ray powder diffraction analysis revealed that crystallize in monoclinic system space group P21/c as identical pure oxalate. The various functional groups ligand water crystallization identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. photoluminescence spectrum indicated ions are optically active matrix. crystal has strong efficient orange red emission wavelength peak at 595 nm hence can be effectively used for optical amplification. Microhardness measurements they belong to soft material category.
