摘要: The isolation and localization of a chromosome 12-specific alpha satellite DNA sequence, p 12H8, is described. This clone contains complete copy the 1.4-kb HindIII higher-order repeat present within array on 12. specificity 12H8 was demonstrated by in situ hybridization Southern blot analysis somatic cell hybrid mapping panel, both performed under high-stringency conditions. Polymorphic restriction patterns array, revealed use enzymes BglII EcoRV, were to display Mendelian inheritance. These properties make valuable genetic marker for centromeric region
