摘要: Calciphylaxis is a rare but life-threatening complication seen in dialysis patients. We report case with calciphylaxis and severe secondary hyperparathyroidism. Sodium thiosulfate (STS) was used for treatment this case. The painful skin ulcers improved significantly soon after treatment, slight reduction the calcium-phosphorus product. Total parathyroidectomy carried out 6 months STS therapy, which successfully solved hyperparathyroidism high profiles. Until now, no recurrence of has been observed during more than 7 years follow-up. STS, as chelating agent calcium iron, an emerging option calciphylaxis; however, mechanisms treating are not clear. Our demonstrates that did work through normalizing profiles, although to optimize control phosphorus levels clearly part general calciphylaxis. literature on patients also reviewed.
