摘要: Objective. Local anesthetics are the most commonly used drugs in dentistry, with a wide range of effects, including antimicrobial activity. High effects have recently been reported on oral microbes from articaine hydrochloride, revealed by minimum inhibitory concentration and minimal bactericidal concentration. Additionally, has as an alkaline component endodontic materials proposed antibacterial However, detailed mechanisms action not discussed. Material Methods. We determined Langmuir surface pressure/molecular area isotherms prokaryotic lipid monolayers, well phospholipid phase transitions, employing differential scanning calorimetry unilamellar liposomes (bilayers). Results. Articaine hydrochloride was found to interact membrane lipids both monolayers bilayers. An increase molecular acidic glycerophospholipids decrease transition temperature enthalpy were increasing The thermodynamic changes adding potentially related observed peptides resulting insertion, aggregate composition, pore formation, lysis. Conclusion. Interaction is indicated. Hence, further research necessary gain insight into where these compounds exert their at level.
