摘要: The clinical observation that a laparoscopic cholecystectomy is minimally invasive operation has not been demonstrated on biochemical basis. Interleukin-6, known endogenous pyrogen and hepatocyte-stimulating protein, correlates with the significance of surgical trauma. Utilizing IL-6 immunoassay, we studied this parameter trauma to compare its response in vs open cholecystectomy. Sixteen patients who underwent only showed peak concentrations 51 pg/ml (22–86) concentration 124 (56–225) for Six additional an ERCP followed by dramatic rise 315 (15–634). These results biochemically confirm true minimal invasiveness findings ERCP-followed-by-laparoscopic-cholecystectomy group support theory two procedures close proximity may prime cytokine system
