摘要: A /sup 140/La tracer has been used to identify the sources of cross-contamination when conventional high-performance liquid chromatography was collect metal ion fractions for subsequent analysis by ..cap alpha.. spectrometry or mass spectrometry. Major memory effects identified were normal band broadening, sorption onto surfaces, and retention within sample valves; secondary column isotopic exchange with sorbed ions not important effects. On basis these results a recommended procedure developed that gives levels less than equal 0.006%. Sample preparation techniques spectrometric analyses collected are discussed, some examples given applications analytical problems in geochemistry nuclear industry. Good recoveries obtained range studied (0.1-500 ng).
