摘要: Abstract:  Results of a cladistic analysis the suborder Conulariina Miller and Gurley, 1896, major extinct (Vendian–Triassic) group scyphozoan cnidarians, are presented. The sought to test whether three conulariid subfamilies (Conulariinae Walcott, 1886, Paraconulariinae Sinclair, 1952 Ctenoconulariinae 1952) recognized in Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology (TIP) monophyletic. A total 17 morphological characters were scored for 16 ingroup taxa, namely genera Archaeoconularia, Baccaconularia, Climacoconus, Conularia, Conulariella, Conularina, Ctenoconularia, Eoconularia, Glyptoconularia, Metaconularia, Notoconularia, Paraconularia, Pseudoconularia, Reticulaconularia, Teresconularia Vendoconularia. extant medusozoan taxa Cubozoa, Stauromedusae, Coronatae Semaeostomeae served as outgroups. Unweighted analysisof data matrix yielded 1057 trees, successive weighting resulted one original trees. is monophyletic with two autapomorphies: (1) quadrate geometry oral region; (2) presence mineralized (phosphatic) periderm. Within ingroup, clade (Vendoconularia, Teresconularia, Eoconularia) supported by sinusoidal longitudinal transverse ridges, much larger (Baccaconularia, Reticulaconularia) external tubercles, which, however, lost (Notoconularia, Reticulaconularia). As proposed Van Iten et al. (2000), termination alternation ribs corner sulcus. previously Conulariinae, not recovered from this analysis. diagnostic features Conulariinae (continuation ornament across sulcus lack carinae) (presence symplesiomorphic or homoplastic, polyphyletic. families Conulariellidae Kiderlen, 1937 Conulariopsidae Sugiyama, 1942, also TIP, monogeneric, since they provide no additional phylogenetic information, should be abandoned.
