摘要: We aimed to evaluate the association between 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH) D] levels and both clinical severity at admission outcome discharge in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). From June 2012 October 2013, consecutive first-ever AIS admitted Department of Emergency The Fourth Affiliated Hospital Harbin Medical University, China were identified. Clinical information was collected. Serum 25(OH) measured baseline. Stroke assessed using National Institutes Health Scale (NIHSS) score. Functional evaluated modified Rankin scale (m-Rankin). Multivariate analyses performed logistic regression models. During study period, 326 diagnosed as included analysis. reduced increasing defined by NIHSS There a negative correlation (r = − 0.389, P = 0.000). In multivariate analyses, serum level an independent prognostic marker favorable functional survival [odds ratio 3.96 (2.85–7.87) 3.36 (2.12–7.08), respectively, P = 0.000 for both, adjusted NHISS, other predictors vascular risk factors] AIS. are predictor Additional research is needed on vitamin supplementation improve post-stroke patients.
