摘要: Goniothalamin (GTN), a plant bioactive styryl-lactone, is natural product with potent anti-tumorigenesis effects for several types of cancer. Nonetheless, the anticancer effect GTN has not been examined in oral The present study was designed to evaluate its potential an squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) model and determine possible mechanisms respect apoptosis, DNA damage, reactive oxygen species (ROS) induction, mitochondrial membrane potential. Our data demonstrated that proliferation significantly inhibited by Ca9-22 OSCC cancer cells concentration- time-dependent manners (p<0.05). For cycle apoptotic GTN-treated cells, sub-G1 population annexin V-intensity increased concentration-dependent manner (p<0.001). analysis double strand breaks, γH2AX intensity concentration-response relationship Moreover, induced intracellular ROS levels depolarization mitochondria, DiOC(2)(3) (3,3'-diethyloxacarbocyanine iodide) decreased relationships Taken together, these results suggest against valid GTN-induced growth inhibition apoptosis influence downstream cascade including mitochondria depolarization. Therefore, as chemotherapeutic agent
