摘要: Many Bacteroides clinical isolates carry large conjugative transposons that, in addition to transferring themselves, excise, circularize, and transfer smaller, unlinked chromosomal DNA segments called NBUs (nonreplicating units). We report the localization sequence of a region one NBUs, NBU1, that was necessary sufficient for mobilization by IncP plasmids. The fact internal NBU1 indicates circular form is mobilized. contained single (1.4-kbp) open reading frame (ORF1), which designated mob. oriT located within 220-bp upstream deduced amino acid mob product had no significant similarity those proteins well-characterized Escherichia coli group plasmids such as RK2 or either two plasmid pBFTM10. There was, however, high level between vulgatus cryptic closely linked cefoxitin resistance gene (cfxA).
