摘要: The influence of artificial rupture the membranes on plasma levels 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGFM) and oxytocin was examined in 23 pregnant women at term. Serial blood samples were collected before 15 minutes, 2 hours, 5 8 hours after membranes. A significant rise concentration PGFM observed minutes majority (20 23), but magnitude this early or lack thereof not related to subsequent course labor. was, other hand, significantly correlated with induction-delivery interval. Amniotomy, by itself, induced labor delivery when increased maintained from procedure (n = 16). In those cases where Pitocin stimulation required for adequate uterine contractions, it found that had declined initial values hours. infusions then partially reversed decline. one patient, cervix failed dilate spite prolonged infusion which did induce reverse marked fall transient rise. Mean during were, average, similar first stage spontaneous oxytocin-induced Considering previously demonstrated maximal receptors labor, absence a does negate role working synergistically prostaglandins mechanism
