摘要: Summary. A method is described for measuring the activity of enzyme δ-aminolaevulic acid dehydrase (ALA-dehydrase) in erythrocytes normal subjects and patients with macrocytic anaemia due to vitamin-B12 folic-acid deficiency, iron-deficiency anaemia, lead poisoning secondary anaemias rheumatoid arthritis carcinomatosis. A significant increase pre-treatment was found anaemias, whether a deficiency vitamin B12 or folie acid. further rise ALA-dehydrase occurred close relationship reticulocyte response, returning levels as their numbers fell. Enzyme returned 2 mth. Enzyme significantly diminished poisoning. No difference from carcinomatosis. Enzyme assay bled rabbits showed that directly related number reticulocytes present.
