摘要: A catalyst (Many textbooks exist on catalysis. Look also at http://www.youtube.com/user/proftromp?feature¼watch) is a material, which increases the rate of chemical reaction without being consumed itself and can direct to specifically form desired products. Catalytic processes are widely used in daily life: car converts toxic exhaust gases from engine into more environmentally friendly gases. In pharmaceutical flavour fragrance industry, catalysts produce required medicines or perfumes. Understanding catalytic process itself, i.e. how works what factors affect its performance will help us optimise many industrially important processes, making them efficient sustainable for example by producing less waste requiring milder conditions. way study these systems detail using spectroscopy, different types light take pictures movies while they working. this chapter spectroscopic X-ray methods described, have been developed over last few years provide detailed electronic structural information relevant time-resolutions.
