Integrated indicators in environmental planning: Methodological considerations and applications

摘要: After a short introduction on approaches using either structural or functional indicators, we develop methodological framework for the analysis and management of landscapes, landscape ecological principles related to holistic approach. In anextstep,wedisaggregate someoftheinternal processes inlandscapesinordertodelineategroups ofindicators initsspatiotemporal context. case study, conducted in an area Central Italy, use some indicators is presented. It example how set can be applied part landscape, which considered as whole integratedunit,accordingtotheprinciplesoflandscapeecology.Onthebasisoffourlandscapemetricsoutofeight,calculatedin Geographical Information System (GIS), present potential areas greenways our study 16,000 ha scale 1:25,000.Theresultsaredirected tolandscapeplanningandmanagementandare,therefore,ofparticular interestnotonlyfroma scientific point view, but also regarding land planning by local administrators.
