The characterisation of living landscapes: the role of mixed descriptors and volunteering geographic information

摘要: Over the last decade need for public bodies to characterise vitality and degree of sustainability their territories is well acknowledged. Still it remains unclear how integrate different categories values our daily life places in a comprehensive way order develop appropriate balanced policies. An experimental case has been designed provide novel sets indicators by integrating information extracted from custom maps, spatial descriptors land use cover socio-economic indicators. In fully grasp character living place, nuances less tangible aspects should be also understood. To do so, results developed during first steps have subsequently refined incorporating relevant volunteering geographical available on Google Earth® platform.
