摘要: Abstract A sustainable future for sheep and goat production throughout the world is that derived from pastures forages, grazed in situ, utilizing resources such as hill lands are unable to support other productive enterprises. Providing appropriate nutrition, especially non-human edible supplemental ingredients, achieve profitability goals of landholder can be challenging these situations. This chapter uses case studies New Zealand United States America highlight productivity efficiency improvements over past 30 years, challenges associated with balancing needs production, biodiversity urbanization, a template practical changes forage use, management techniques nutritional practices have underpinned those changes. The principles highlighted may act blueprint gains reduction environmental footprint animal agriculture systems using pasture forage-based nutrition systems.
