摘要: Summary Background  Two nail lacquers, containing ciclopirox (CPX) or amorolfine (MRF), based on water-insoluble polymers are currently considered mainstays of topical treatment onychomycosis. The present study aimed at evaluating the antimycotic activity a new water-soluble lacquer CPX (CPX/sol), easily removable by washing with water and applicable to periungual skin. Objectives  To compare transungual permeation that MRF in same hydroxypropyl chitosan-based (MRF/sol) nonwater-soluble reference (Loceryl®; Galderma International, La Defense, France), evaluate CPX/sol Loceryl® against most common fungal strains cause onychomycosis. Methods In vitro drug experiments CPX/sol, MRF/sol were carried out through bovine hoof slices. Experimental permeates from underwent susceptibility testing clinical isolates dermatophytes, moulds yeast. Results  flux was significantly higher when compared Loceryl®. able permeate membranes more MRF. concentrations subungual fluids collected after application sufficient inhibit growth, exception Candida parapsilosis. Smaller amounts fluid required for complete inhibition growth. Efficacy index values CPX/sol. Conclusions  Application allows rapid penetration CPX, providing levels growth prolonged period time (30 h) dose. appeared superior market terms both vehicle (hydroxypropyl chitosan) active ingredient as witnessed its efficacy all pathogens.
