摘要: Background Testosterone is essential for the regulation of erectile physiology, but relationship between low testosterone and dysfunction (ED) has not been firmly established. Purpose To examine association serum total, free bio-available ED in a population-based sample. Methods A consecutive series 1776 men aged 20–77 participated routine physical examination from September 2009 to December Guangxi, China. was assessed using five-item International Index Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire. Total (TT), sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) other biochemical profiles were measured. Free (FT) (BT) calculated based on Vermeulen’s formula. Data collected with regard smoking, alcoholic drinking, activity metabolic syndrome. Results The prevalence (IIEF-5<22) 47.6%. Men significantly older, more prone smoke cigarettes (≥20 cigarettes/day) or drink alcohol (≥3 drinks/week), likely have elevated blood pressure (P = 0.036) hyperglycemia (P<0.001) compared those without ED. The significant increase SHBG age parallel its increasing severity (P<0.001). obscure TT across status detected significance 0.418), positively associated after adjustment [odds ratio (OR) 1.02, 95% CI (confidence internal): 1.00–1.04]. FT BT inversely (OR 0.14, 95%CI: 0.06–0.33; OR 0.92 (95%CI: 0.89–0.96, respectively) univariate analysis, this inverse appeared be independent smoking status, activity, hyper-triglyceridemia hyperglycemia. Conclusions FT are related worsening ED, whereas positive most due SHBG.
