摘要: Dumping syndrome is a well-known complication after upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery. There are scarce data in the literature about incidence of dumping bariatric operations but, certainly no relation between this and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) has been attempted. We conducted prospective clinical study order to evaluate potential presence, severity LSG. Thirty one non-diabetic morbidly obese patients (eight male, 23 female) eligible for LSG were evaluated. Median age was 38 (22–58 years) mean body mass index (BMI) 45.55 (±5.37). The diagnosis based on provocation signs symptoms using an oral glucose challenge before 6 weeks operation. Sigstad’s score estimated separate dumpers from non-dumpers, Arts questionnaire completed distinguish early late dumping. Moreover, blood levels during measured. No patient had preoperatively, whereas 9 (29%) experienced definite other 5 (16%) suggestive syndrome. Arts’ demonstrated that occurrence associated with symptoms. Late hypoglycaemia occurred patient. A significant proportion upon provocation. It seems should longer be considered as pure restrictive procedure, it might option heavy sweeters by changing their food tolerance patterns.
