摘要: In a prospective study of 41 consecutively referred newly diagnosed diabetic patients, we evaluated the predictive value fasting and glucagon-stimulated C-peptide values, ketonuria, age, body weight in classification subjects as insulin-requiring (IR) or non-insulin-requiring (NIR). The patients were followed up for greater than equal to 12 mo classified NIR if adequate glycemic control could be achieved without insulin (i.e., plasma glucose less 8 mM no glycosuria). Patients who needed obtain this status IR. We found that all with values 0.60 nM 6 min after intravenous glucagon NIR, whereas IR together 3 had below limit. All but 1 0.30 nM, Seventy-five percent correctly by use age desirable weight. Thus, 40 yr old 100% ideal both these limits Ketonuria was 10 29 subjects. conclude 1) 75% only 2) measurements are useful diabetes, presence ketonuria is limited value.
