摘要: Two decades ago it was discovered that the adult mammalian brain contains neural stem cells (NSCs) and precursor (NPCs) capable of producing new neurons glial [1-3]. This has led to a great deal research understand biology these determine signalling pathways can be targeted promote repair dam‐ aged nervous system. There are two primary regions in contain NSCs/NPCs. These subventricular zone (SVZ) lining lateral walls ventricles subgranular (SGZ) hippocampal dentate gyrus. NPC fate is regulated by intrinsic (e.g. transcription factors mediators) extrinsic (e.g growth extracellular matrix) which involve effects on prolif‐ eration, migration differentiation cells.
