摘要: Summary The objective was to study associations between kinematics and ground reaction forces in the hindlimb of walking horses. Video (60 Hz) force (2000 data were gathered for 8 strides from each 5 sound horses during walk. Sagittal plane measured concurrently with vertical longitudinal forces. The showed rapid loading braking initial 10% stride. stifle, tarsal coffin joints flexed fetlock joint extended this period loading. 2 peaks separated by a dip; pattern similar angle-time graph. Peaks did not appear correspond kinematic events. Total impulse equal total propulsive over entire Flexion extension hip responsible protraction retraction limb. Maximal occurred shortly before end swing maximal breakover. During middle part stance slowly, while stifle began flex when limb retracted beyond midstance position at 28% cycles well coordinated phase raise distal as it protracted. results demonstrate relationship hindlimbs Future studies will elucidate alterations response lameness.
