摘要: Objective To determine ex vivo contact data on the equine medial tibial plateau loaded by an intact femoral condyle (MFC), MFC with osteochondral defect, and a screw inserted in lag fashion through defect. Study Design Ex experiment. Animals Stifles (n = 6). Horses (n = 4). Methods Stifle joints were axially to 1800 N at 155°, 145°, 130°, under 3 conditions: Intact, 15 mm circular transcondylar defect. An electronic pressure sensor (Tekscan®) recorded area, force, peak pressure, maps. Stress load (N/cm2) was calculated for entire sub-regions; cranial, caudal, central. Significance set P ≤ .05. Results Flexion increased stress all conditions. defect significantly reduced force both flexion angles area 145°. The returned values 130° extension. Intact maps revealed peaks central cartilage expansion caudal movement flexion. Contact amplified abaxial during flexion, did not further change them. Conclusions Stifle increases is most pronounced caudally. alters plateau, may reverse some of those changes.
