The Role of Water Supply Management in Rural Economy with an Emphasis on Earth Dams Construction (Case Study: Bakhazr County)

摘要: Since long ago, qanāts and springs have been the main water resources in foothills rural areas heights margin of Iran. These supplies are mostly fed by underground waters top shallow layer. Regarding continuous droughts during recent years, Debi these has severely reduced. To feed watershed management, one practical strategies is to construct earth dams. This aimed through penetration runoffs floods watercourses. In some villages Bakhazr County, Khorasan-e Razavi Province, dams constructed since 65 years ago. The objective this study see how affect development including villagers' satisfaction reduction their migration motivation. Objective-wise, an applied research. Yet, nature method, it a descriptive-analytical carried out using document (library) research filling questionnaire (survey). Results show that constructing dam increases income employment.
