The role of diagnostic hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy in assisted reproductive technologies

摘要: Abstract Objective: To study the incidence of unsuspected endouterine abnormalities in patients for whom IVF-ET repeatedly fails. Design: Prospective study. Setting: Infertility Unit Department Obstetrics and Gynecology, Arcispedale Santa Maria Nuova, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Patient(s): One hundred two cycles failed which ≥2 good-quality embryos were transferred. Intervention(s): In-office diagnostic hysteroscopy endometrial biopsy. Main Outcome Measure(s): Relation between failure abnormalities. Result(s): In 18 patients, showed an important abnormality. Fifteen these did not become pregnant after IVF-ET, 3 became but had a spontaneous abortion. Histologic examination endometrium revealed chronic endometritis 1 patient tuberculous another. Conclusion(s): Previous studies have reported that is high undergoing IVF-ET. Our data confirm previous reports lead us to conclude should be performed on all before they undergo
