摘要: Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) activity was measured in adipose tissue, heart and diaphragm Sprague--Dawley rats after estrogen therapy or orchiectomy. Enzyme by incubation of tissue fragments with a triolein emulsion the presence serum heparin. In confirmation other work, depression LPL followed estradiol treatment pharmacologic near-physiologic doses. Cardiac diaphragmatic muscle were increased. Estrogen-treated male animals showed growth retardation. However, they gained weight steadily did not show significant differences insulin, glucose D-beta-hydroxybutyrate. The effects reversed sequential fasting re-feeding. At times during aging normal female rats, decreased while cardiac skeletal activities increased relative to males same age body weight. Castration failed reproduce effect estrogens on lipoprotein lipase. These vitro data suggest that exogenous may shift flux triglyceride fatty acids from storage organ toward incorporation muscle. These, data, raise possibility physiological secretion exerts tonic influence over synthesis ultimate destination acids.
