摘要: The family Bunyaviridae of segmented, negative-stranded RNA viruses includes over 350 members that infect a bewildering variety animals and plants. Many these bunyaviruses are the causative agents serious disease in their respective hosts, classified as emerging because increased incidence new populations geographical locations throughout world. Emerging bunyaviruses, such Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, tomato spotted wilt virus Rift Valley currently attracting great interest due to migration arthropod vectors, situation possibly linked climate change. These other examples continued emergence suggest will probably continue pose sustained global threat agricultural productivity, animal welfare human health. is particularly acute light lack effective preventative or therapeutic treatments for any viruses, making study an important priority. This review presents recent advances understanding bunyavirus life cycle, including aspects molecular, cellular structural biology. Whilst special emphasis placed upon we also describe extensive body work involving model which have been subject major contributions our overall this group viruses.
