摘要: Abstract Pore flow models for reverse osmosis desalination have been studied. Their basic similarities, in terms of their predictions membrane structure, as related to function pointed out. Experimental studies on a series homogeneous cellulose acetate membranes graded porosity indicated that predicted values pore size form reliable indicator functional properties, regards solute rejection, diffusive vs. bulk flow, compaction, the presence or absence surface layer, etc., spite fact they are being applied range conditions where assumptions underlying these clearly invalid.
