摘要: The multiple objectives and interests of various stack holders’ in reservoir operation bring forward many solutions to the problem. Possibly due this complexity, practice, operating rules be derived not only from heuristic approaches such as thumb, rule curve, operator experience engineering judgments but also through well defined mathematical models. An attempt is made study possibility changing crop (paddy instead groundnut) starting period for Sathanur irrigation system, India. This system considered one water-deficit where water collected during north-east monsoon (Oct–Dec) crops are cultivated after rainfall season. Even though first priority supply drinking Tiruvanamalai town nearby villages, quantity required very meagre when compared demands. Genetic algorithm (GA) has been used find optimal crop-starting that can give maximum performance net benefit system. results model indicate cultivation paddy between 1st 10th October every year provides than 11th 20th December practiced now.
