Irrigation planning using Genetic Algorithms

摘要: The present study deals with the application of Genetic Algorithms(GA) for irrigation planning. GA technique is used to evolve efficient cropping pattern maximizing benefits an project in India. Constraints include continuity equation, land and water requirements, crop diversification restrictions on storage. Penalty function approach convert constrained problem into unconstrained one. For fixing parameters model run various values population, generations, cross over mutation probabilities. It found that appropriate number population size, crossover probability, probability are 200, 50, 0.6 0.01 respectively study. Results obtained by compared Linear Programming solution be reasonably close. effective optimization tool planning results can utilized any system.
