摘要: Background and Objectives When surgery is not adequate or feasible, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) reirradiation has been used for recurrent cancers. We report the outcomes of a series patients with pelvic recurrences from colorectal cancer reirradiated SBRT. Methods The CyberknifeTM Robotic Stereotactic Radiosurgery system fiducial based real time tracking was used. Patients were followed imaging pelvis. Results Four women 14 men 22 lesions included. The mean dose 25 Gy in median five fractions. prescription isodose 77%, maximum 32.87 Gy. There two local failures, crude control rate 89%. overall survival 43 months. One patient had small bowel perforation required (Grade IV), symptomatic neuropathy (1 Grade III) one developed hydronephrosis ureteric fibrosis requiring stent III). Conclusions Local recurrence pelvis after modern combined modality treatment rare. However it presents therapeutic dilemma when occurs; often eventually life threatening. SBRT can be useful non-surgical to prior radiation cancer. J. Surg. Oncol. 2015 111:478–482. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
