摘要: On the Mediterranean island of Corsica, cohabitation between sympatric domestic pigs and Eurasian wild boar (Sus scrofa) is common widespread can facilitate maintenance dissemination several pathogens detrimental for pig industry or human health. In this study, we monitored a population free-ranging reared in extensive conditions within 800-ha property located Central Corsica which was frequently visited by 2013 2015. We used GPS collars to assess evidence spatially shared environment. Subsequently, analysed PFGE XbaI-restricted DNA if those populations faecal Escherichia coli clones that would indicate contact compared these results with collected distant (separated at least 50 km) as control. Results showed one eight boars sampled study area shed E. coli XbaI identical isolated from sounders farm, while parts no clone monitored. Interestingly, pigs, two were found 2015, indicating long-time persisting colonization type. Although method isolation typing isolates requires intensive laboratory work, it applicable under field monitor potential infectious contacts. It also provides exchange microorganisms populations.
