摘要: With the invention of "open" magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems, access to patient is possible during procedure. An important application these systems intraoperative MRI control extent resection tumor surgery. Up now flexible surface coils wrapped around, or placed at each side head, were used for imaging. These have several disadvantages such as unreliability, interindividual problems, difficult handling, poor hygienic properties, and often unsatisfactory inhomogeneous image quality. To solve most an MR-compatible head-holder in combination with integrated coil use a 0.2 T C-shaped magnet was developed. Forty-eight patients known cranial tumors underwent intraoperatively. In 32 (67%), residual found, additional surgical performed. The head-holder/coil safe practical tool MRI, providing efficient reliable neurosurgical procedures.
