摘要: Probiotics are known to have a long history of safe use and can be formulated into many different types products, including foods, drugs, dietary supplements. Several probiotic microorganisms like genus Lactococcus, Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Bifidobacterium, Pediococcus Propionibacteria spp. these days used in fermented dairy products drug formulations. Due their human consumption, safety organisms is primary importance as resistance towards antibiotics one the possible threat. The gravity this issue further compounded by possibility bacteria transfer determinants horizontally pathogens commensal gut microbiota. Antibiotic beneficial microbes, either intrinsic or due any mutation does not manifest concern itself. Some strains with antibiotic per se could useful for restoring microbiota after treatment. However, specific carried on mobile genetic elements, such tetracycline genes, often been detected typical genera, hence constitute reservoir potential food pathogens, thus representing serious issue. Plasmid-associated resistance, which occasionally occurs, matter it detrimental probiotics owing spreading harmful inhabiting same niche. Further, presence transferable genes even less innocuous member microbial community poses hazard needs taken account. Probiotic beleaguered scarcity well designed targeted studies dealt right perspective. This review aims deliberate commercially other present gut.
