摘要: Streptococcus mutans, known to be an aetiologic agent of dental caries, also causes infective endocarditis (IE), although a comparison isolates from the oral cavity and infected heart valve same patient has not been reported. In present study, plaque samples with IE were analysed. Broad-range PCR DNA sequencing revealed that 50 clones composed streptococci periodontopathic bacteria, whereas only mutans was detected in valve.
