摘要: Fetal blood lactate can easily and safely be measured with the new microvolume meter. The system requires only 5µl of gives result in 60 seconds. As opposed to pH meters, lactometer is considerably cheaper does not require trained staff or regular attention from a technician. Trials have shown levels fetal scalp comparable predicting low Apgar scores at delivery as well need for neonatal intensive care unit admission. Lactate concentration umbilical artery has also been same predictive properties relation perinatal morbidity mortality. Owing its simplicity performance, analysis test strip method an attractive complement intrapartum monitoring.
