摘要: Abstract Primary brain tumors (PBTs) are a pathologically diverse group of neoplasms that remain refractory to treatment. Gliomas neuroepithelial origin comprise the largest subgroup and most commonly diagnosed form PBT. usually demonstrate diffuse infiltrative growth, especially high-grade varieties such as glioblastoma multiforme, anaplastic astrocytoma, oligodendroglial origin. Surgical resection is initial therapy for patients with A complete should be attempted all low-grade tumors. For accessible lesions, gross-total enhancing tumor regionally infiltrated considered. External beam fractionated irradiation administered gliomas selected inaccessible or progressive PBT, if symptomatic older than age 40. The standard regimen consists 5000–6000 cGy in 180- 200-cGy daily fractions over 5–7 weeks. Chemotherapy considered adjunctive treatment malignant PBTs gliomas. Temozolomide an alkylating agent broad range activity, which often used combination irradiation, well adjuvant setting, astrocytomas. Molecular therapeutic approaches under development entering early clinical trials.
