摘要: Object Ependymal tumors are highly variable in clinical and molecular behavior affect both children adults. Regarding the paucity of appropriate experimental models, underlying mechanisms their behavioral variability poorly understood. Considering increasing evidence epigenetic changes various tumors, addition to preclinical success epigenetic-based therapeutics CNS, study ependymal is warranted. Methods Using immunohistochemistry, authors investigated patterns global acetylation lysine position 9 histone 3 (H3K9Ac), an marker active gene transcription, 85 with WHO grades clinicopathological characteristics. Results Most nuclei all were H3K9Ac negative (mean ± SD 65.9% 26.5 vs 34.1% 26.5% positive, p < 0.0001).
