摘要: Background The taxonomic status of the brown dog tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus (sensu stricto) is a subject on-going debate; there consensus that populations this species should be referred to as R. lato) until its resolved. Recent genetic studies revealed existence more than one lineage (s.l.) in temperate countries. In study, we assessed identity ticks collected from rural dogs living several areas located all major geographical regions Portugal.
