摘要: The impact of a full-scale biosolid composting plant on the fate broad range priority organic pollutants was investigated. Chemical analysis performed at different steps process during two seasons. Simultaneously, toxicological quality assessed using estrogen α-, dioxin-, and pregnane X-receptor reporter cell lines. Mass-balance calculation highlighted removal easily degradable composting. important variations observed for each compound seasons might be explained by pollutant-fate dependency parameters like temperature. final compost displayed low X activity but high estrogenic activity. dioxin-like stayed constant through process. chemical results highlight importance combining both approaches to accurately assess quality. Such compilation data processes may also very helpful environmental risk assessment new waste disposal practices. Environ. Toxicol. Chem. 2012; 31: 2748–2756. © 2012 SETAC
