Efficiency of an Integrated Purification System for Pig Slurry Treatment under Mediterranean Climate

摘要: The intensification of pig production is considered a risky activity for the environment when generated slurry not adequately treated. In addition, intensive agriculture practices where applied to cropland could cause nitrate leaching, salinization, and soil pollution (heavy metals pathogens), thus development an eco-friendly system treatment essential avoid undesirable environmental impacts. main objective this study was assess efficiency integrated purification (IPS) treating slurry. included pretreatment module (raw tank, phase separator, aeration settlement tank), constructed wetlands (CWs) that unplanted cell planted cell, storage pond (SP). Pig samples from modules, CWs, SP were collected in triplicate physic-chemical microbial analyses performed. Results showed modules decreased total suspended solids (TSS), nitrogen (TN), phosphorus (TP) concentrations liquid fraction. Higher removal reported which 4.0 g L−1 1.9 inflow outflow, respectively. Total efficiencies over 85% found cells TSS, Kjeldahl (KN), chemical oxygen demand (COD), TP. Microbial parameters eliminated after cell. Therefore, results indicated filtration (pretreatment), (constructed wetland), bioremediation (storage pond) constituted appropriate IPS
