摘要: Neurobrucellosis is an inflammatory disease caused by the invasion of Brucella spp. to central nervous system (CNS). The pathogenesis not well characterized; however, for gain access brain parenchyma, traversing blood-brain barrier (BBB) must take place. To understand CNS determinants B. abortus, we have used in vitro BBB model human microvascular endothelial cells (HBMEC) study interactions between abortus and cells. In this study, showed that able adhere invade HBMEC which was dependent on microtubules, microfilaments, endosome acidification de novo protein synthesis. After infection, rapidly escapes endosomal compartment forms a replicative Brucella-containing vacuole involves with endoplasmic reticulum. Despite ability replicate HBMEC, bacterium unable itself traverse but could polarized monolayers within infected monocytes. Importantly, monocytes traversed monolayer were bacterial source infection glial This first demonstration mechanism whereby infect CNS. These results may important implications our understanding neurobrucellosis.
