摘要: Neuropeptide tyrosine (NPY) is one of the most abundant and widespread peptides in mammalian nervous system. Recent isolation sequencing DNA encoding NPY has predicted existence a 97 amino acid precursor peptide. Proteolytic processing this could yield three separate peptide products, an N-terminal signal peptide, neuropeptide 30 C-terminal flanking (C-PON). Here, we present evidence that C-flanking widely distributed both central peripheral systems several species including man, identical distribution to NPY. It was also demonstrated, using correlative light microscopic immunostaining on serial sections double electron immunocytochemistry, C-PON immunoreactivities are co-localized neuronal cell bodies brain cortex, sympathetic ganglion cells, norepinephrine-containing granules adrenal medulla human pheochromocytoma tumor cells.
