摘要: Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) were identified in a subpopulation of cultured adult rat trigeminal ganglia (TG) neurons by whole-cell patch-clamp recordings. Dimethylphenylpiperazinium (DMPP), nAChR agonist, induced inward currents 21/68 TG having soma diameters greater than 28 microns. These inhibited hexamethonium, mecamylamine and atropine, indicating the presence neuronal ganglionic-type nAChRs. This interpretation is consistent with finding that nicotine- or DMPP-induced not alpha-bungarotoxin (alpha-Bng) 5 9 cells tested this compound. However, 2 tested, completely alpha-Bng, remaining two partially alpha-Bng. About 22% > = microns specifically labeled FITC-labeled whereas only 2% < labeled. data taken together suggest more one subtype present TG.
