摘要: Recent publications have reported differences in the incidence, rate, risk, and type of sports injury among men women. We undertook a prospective study to determine incidence high school basketball players examine type, risk between male female athletes. During single season, an survey girls' varsity teams at 100 class 4A 5A schools Texas was conducted. These data were previously reported. surveyed same during subsequent season gather from boys' teams. The athletic trainer collected on each reportable weekly University Interscholastic League. A defined as one that occurred practice or game, resulted missed game time, required physician consultation, involved head face. compared statistically analyzed. rate 0.56 boys 0.49 girls. per hour exposure not significantly different two groups. In both groups, most common injuries sprains, commonly injured area ankle, followed by knee. Female athletes had higher knee including 3.79 times greater anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
