摘要: This study deals with effects of hypertonic sucrose solutions on respiration and oxidative phosphorylation intact mitochondria isolated from sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) taproots etiolated pea (Pisum sativum seedlings. Mitochondria plants, like those animals, showed a trend to inhibition in solutions. The increase concentration 0.5 1.0 M suppressed malate oxidation the presence glutamate state 3 by factor 2.5–3.5 diminished respiratory control ratio 1.5–2.0. Plant turned out remarkably resistant osmotic stress; they retained significant high ADP/O ratios 1 solution. Although origin observed phenomenon remains unresolved warrants further studies, it is evident that elevated resistance plant stress might be for energy supply under extreme environmental conditions (upon drought salinity) when organism experiences dehydration concomitant cytoplasmic osmolarity.
